merlinxarthur. When I joined there was only a few hundred. I remember when we crossed the 1000 members mark.
Egads I feel old. LOL!
It's funny but each week that comm does a live episode discussion for flailing and squeeing while the episode is on. Last year I participated in pretty much all of them. This year yesterdays ep was the first one where I was in a position to take part. It's not the same though. Last year because of how small the numbers were everyone replied to everyone elses comments and I made a whole bunch of Merlin fandom friends just by participating. This year I think I got one reply and because there were so many people posting it was impossible to keep up
Kind of makes me sad. I appreciate that fandoms evolve and grow and it's awesome the show has so many new fans but at the same time I kind of miss the days when it was a small and more intimate fandom.
I wonder if this is part of the reason why this season hasn't inspired me to write any Merlin fic at all. Not even episode coda drabbles.
