It's late and so I think
Sep. 26th, 2009 01:54 amThe more I think about it the more I hate the brothel scene. It just makes no sense to me. It's OOC for both of them really, although Castiel more than Dean.
I just don't understand why Castiel agreed to go with Dean. I liked the idea that
Why is Castiel embarassed about never having had sex? He's an angel. He has a higher purpose. Sex is very much a human thing. I don't understand why, in his eyes, he would want to debase himself by getting drunk and having meaningless sex especially when he is so clearly uncomfortable with it. The Castiel we saw in that scene was more like Jimmy than an angel. I dunno. I do hope they explain it because it just doesn't sit right with me.
On the other hand I hope we see more of Lindsey. She was cool and Sam clearly needs someone right now. Someone, I can't remember who, proposed that she was put there by God to watch over Sam and help keep him on the right path. I don't care really. He just needs someone to talk to and share his worries and give him hugs. Sammy needs hugs.
It's funny actually because I had this idea for a Mystery Spot fic with an OC who was exactly like Lindsey only in my head she was a waitress in a diner instead of a bar and she was a bit older. Sam saves her life while he's on his Trickster crusade to get Dean back and she gives him a good meal and a place to crash for the night as thanks. They strike up a friendship and he stays with her between jobs until he gets the call from Bobby. Obviously then he has to explain that if he resets time they will never meet and it was going to be all angsty and sad.
I was too scared to write it for fear of treading into Mary Sue territory so I never did and I probably never will
So, yeah, I like Lindsey because she reminds me of her and I hope she'll be back.
