Non-SPN post

alinoradesancto has given me a nice list of things to post about that don't relate to Misha or SPN. So I'll do those at random intervals until I run out *g*

First question:

1. Tell us about a memorable birthday/party (since you know, Merlin/your upcoming birthday)
The one that immediately sprung into my head was my birthday in 2003. It was shortly before jacqui_hw and I started sharing a flat and she, the Marauders (padfoot_uk, flickums and nam_melon) and a bunch of my York-based friends all went out to Old Orleans for dinner

Amongst other things I wound up with balloons tied to my hair and we released a note inside a chilli over the river.

I also had mead for the first time (and aparently didn't learn from the experience if Mead Wednesdays are anything to go by)

padfoot_uk and I became shoe twins after her feet started hurting so she bought a pair of shoes identical to the ones I was wearing

The best thing about birthdays is getting everyone together like this. I think this year is the first year in a long time that I won't be doing anything like that because I'll be on holiday

I am seeing the York Merlin meetup peeps the weekend after I get back so that will be a mini-party I guess :)
