When the fangirls hit France
Jun. 25th, 2009 10:42 amWell, we have now officially started the Merlin fangirl experience. Actually finding where to catch the bus from proved to be a challenge but we did get to take some nice photos of the outside of the Louvre while we were lost so that worked out well, and we still made it to the bus in good time

Parc Asterix was especially busy because it was the park's 20th birthday and the weather was nice. We spent a lot of time queueing for stuff but we did go on a lot of rides. We only went on one rollercoaster (not featured in the video diaries) but since we had to queue for an hour and a half we sadly did not have time to go on The Scream A Lot. We saw it though, while we were queueing

The Scream A Lot

We had to walk through Zeus's legs. Hehe!

It was actually quite scary

Until we saw his floral underwear. ROFL!
There was a rather amusing medieval village that had stocks so of course we all had to go in them in honour of Merlin. We all now appreciate his discomfort. They also had a rather awesome sword and armour shop and just outside there was a guy carving gargoyles. It was all rather cool.

Thankfully there were no tomatoes

Gargoyles and a tomb that looks a bit like Tristan Du Bois

Outside the sword shop

Of course we had to go on the ponies. I was even wearing my Misha Minion t-shirt. Hee! It was sort of medieval themed too and had a football on it for Bradley

Of course we made time for Le Grand Splash (or The Splishy Splash as we called it in honour of Colin).

Luckily because it was so hot we soon dried off. We went on a few more rides and somehow managed to get crushed and bruised on a little kiddie boat ride. LOL. We fail.

All it did was go around in a circle

But it went a lot faster than you thought
We ended the day with another water ride and

Bus trip home was made more pleasant by the presence of an Indian guy who was the spitting image of Misha Collins right down to the stubble. Sadly I was too chicken to try and get a sneaky pic of him but GUH.
Pierrefonds tomorrow. Sounds like it's going to be a pretty epic quest to get there but I'm pretty sure it will be worth it
My nose has gone a rather unsightly red due to the sun so I'm hoping it's not going to peel. I will die if we see any of the cast tomorrow and I look like I have leaprosy
