Films I've seen at the cinema this year

The reviews of this were actually pretty accurate in that this film can't really make up its mind what it's supposed to be. I correctly guessed that all the funny stuff had been included in the trailer. Really, this film isn't a comedy. It's a mix of stuff, but sadly it's not done very well.

The main problems I had were twofold. Firstly I really didn't understand the stuff with Hancock and his wife. The whole 'made in pairs but have to be kept apart or they both die' thing makes no sense. Well, it made no sense to me anyway.

Also the villains seemed to be just tacked onto the end. There was no real character development for them and overall the whole plot just seemed massively rushed.

Will Smith was good though, despite the fact he seems quite happy playing angst-ridden characters these days. I really hoped Hancock would see him breaking away from that.

Ah well. Not good but not bad either.
