What your attitudes are towards sex and personal relationships and why you think you hold these attitudes.

Not necessarily your own relationships, and by the way, this is kinda personal (but a topic I find fascinating, especially considering your journal's focus on boylove!) so feel free to ignore it if you don't want to write about it

For obvious reasons I am flocking this post and I'm putting it under a cut for those who don't want to read personal stuff about me.


First of all I consider myself to be assexual, which may come as a surprise to those who don't know me very well and have read my fics. I have absolutely no sex drive and I haven't masturbated since I was about 12. I'm going to be 29 this year, I am still a virgin and I am 100% ok with that.

That aside it doesn't mean I can't write about other people enjoying it. LOL!

I am of the believe that love and sex should not be gender confined. I don't care if people are gay, straight or bi so long as they are happy with their choice of partner.

Putting my finger on why I hold these beliefs is a little more difficult. As soon as I was old enough to form my own opinions on things I became very liberal. I really can't remember when I first started thinking about differences in sexuality. Likely it'll have been a film or a book but I can't remember the specific instance, sadly.

As for slash I have to say that I spent a long time not being interested in it as I felt it was 'out of character'. Then, when I was at university, I read a Spike/Angel fic and that sort of made sense to me and everything just clicked after that. It's not that I prefer gay men over any other sort of relationship, it's just the most fun to write.
