A small vent
Feb. 16th, 2008 12:20 amOOH, I haven't rambled on about an episode since I saw Wrath
Are we supposed to be ok with what happened in this episode? Really? Because the more I think about it the more disturbed I am
ladydreamer described it as mindrape and that's a pretty accurate description in my opinion.
Think about it. If Lex had done this to Clark instead of the other way around we'd all be gasping at the villainy of it all (or at least that's what the writers would be wanting us to do). Surely, with all the computer hacking, superpowers etc at their fingertips it would not be that hard to find Lois and Kara. Especially with Lois's phone in their possession.
And Clark knew what he was doing was wrong. Checking that Lex wouldn't remember anything before agreeing to do it. And then he has the nerve to lecture Lex about guilt and lies at the end of the episode
What has our hero become?
Don't get me wrong, I was glad for the implied Clex and the scenes with Clark and Alexander. I'm glad that Clark knows there is some good left in Lex (even though I suspect he will have forgotten this by next week). Finally we see why Clark can't ever kill Lex (and hey, I wrote that in my snippet for last week. Sort of)
But that doesn't make what he did right and, in fact, it makes me feel faintly sick.
