One of those nights

I've had too much beer and I'm sleepy but I need to write. Still, I had a lovely night out so I'm not going to complain.

Bunch of us went to the pub and had a few beers and a laugh but pretty soon everyone sloped off. One guy, Ben, who I get on really well with wanted to go for a curry and said he'd pay if I came with him. I'm certainly not one to turn down free food. LOL.

We wound up having one of those conversations that I probably wouldn't have had if there hadn't been beer involved. Oops. It went something like this.

Ben: So what sort of stuff do you write?
Me: Porn.
Ben: Really? That's cool! Can I read some?
Me: No.
Ben: Why?
Me: Because I'm embarassed.
Ben: Oh, go on! All blokes like porn. Let me read some.
Me: No. You won't like it.
Ben: Why?
Me: Because it's gay porn.
Ben: *pause* You do not write gay porn. You're just saying that so I won't want to read it
Me: No, honestly, I do. Ask Dave. He's read some.
Ben: No, you don't write gay porn.
Me: I do!!
Ben: Why?
Me: Because it's hot! Duh!

We then had a big discussion, quite loudly in the middle of the restaurant, about whether gay men were hotter then lesbians. LOL!!!

It was fun. Kind of like being on a date (and it's been a LONG time since I've had one of those) but more relaxed. Shame he's moving to Wales in a couple of weeks ;)
