Things that are making me nervous
Sep. 18th, 2007 12:42 pm6A mining for information. I'm worried that there doesn't seem to have been any sort of major announcement made about this and that you have to opt out rather than opting in. I don't know what sort of information LJ is looking for but I have opted out just in case
I get nervous whenever I travel to the US, especially when I'm travelling by myself. Not because I'm worried for my safety, but because I know that US Customs/Immigration are especially suspicious of people travelling by themselves. It's even worse when I'm going to meet someone I know from LJ and have never met in person before. I just know I will get a grilling about why I am here and how I know the people I'm meeting etc. Always at the back of my mind is the fear that they will decide I'm a terrorist and send me packing or worse lock me up. Reading stories like this does nothing to sooth my fears.
I think once I've been to Texas to visit
lexalicious70 I will put a hold on any further trips to the US. It's just not worth the stress.
