The road to hell is paved
Sep. 10th, 2007 05:42 pmRos is ill so we're not going to aerobics tonight. I'm kind of glad really. It would have literally left me with about 10 minutes to get some dinner.
Next week I can leave work early to give myself enough time. The joy of flexi! Unfortunately I was stuck with Greg's late shift tonight as he has taken the day off.
So tonight I can finish off my Smallville icons, watch another episode of Season 6 and maybe play some Sims. Although the novelty is wearing off now all they want to do is have babies. At least Tom keeps things interesting with his whorish ways ;)
In happier news I got some positive feedback on my CLFF fic. YAY. It's funny, but I was just thinking about this today
I am never happy with my fics. Seriously, no matter what I do I will always see faults with what I have written and think it could be better. Even though I can't specifically put my finger on how I could improve it.
Eventually I had to train myself to draw a line under whatever I have written after a certain point and just bite the bullet and post it. If I didn't I would never post anything.
I never read my fics again after I have posted them because I just want to delete them or start editing again.
I think my writing style is clumpy and basic, but that at least is something I can work on. Dave has loaned me a book on how to improve your writing style so I'm hoping to get some good tips out of it.
So if you hear me whining about my writing that's why.
