It's reaching the stage now where I think I need to take my laptop back to the shop. This morning when I booted it up I was told that startup hadn't completed correctly and Windows had to repair itself. Once that had been done it worked fine but I really shouldn't be having this much trouble with a laptop that's only about 6 months old.

I'm pretty sure it needs a new hard drive so it's probably best I do it now while it still works and while it's still under warranty. This way I can back up all my data before I take it in.

This is what I get for not buying a branded laptop I guess.
