Who has green fingers?

hilsRos gave me a cutting of one of her plants in an effort to try and get me to overcome my natural killing instinct when it comes to plants.
It's not going well so far.
For about a week I kept forgetting to bring it to work and it sat in my bedroom that whole time getting minimal light.
It's now on my desk at work and I've watered it and put it in a spot that get plenty of sun but it's still looking rather limp.
Any ideas how to revive it? And before anyone asks I have no idea what kind of plant it is. A green one. LOL.
