Did I hear right that they are going to kill off Lana? Whilst this news is, of course, a joy to me I have a sneaky feeling they're going to do what I suggested here and Lex will be involved somehow if not directly responsible

I think this is the first time I've had a fandom that has disappointed me in this way. Buffy had its flaws but I still loved it at the end.
