Day. From. Hell
Feb. 16th, 2007 10:20 pmZOMG! This has truly been the day from hell
It started when the hotel tried to overcharge me this morning and I had to make them add everything up on a calculator to prove I was right.
Everything was fine after that unil we got to King's Cross.
ALL the trains north were cancelled. Seriously, every single one. Apparently it was something to do with a power failure.
We were advised to go to London Euston and get a train from there.
When we arrived at Euston we queued up for 10 minutes only to be told we were at the Tourist Information desk and that rail enquires were elsewhere. We queued again for another 10 minutes and were told to go to Birmingham and change there.
Unfortunately Greg misread the platform number and by the time we got to the right place we'd missed our train. We were advised to get the Manchester train and get off at Crewe. Greg questioned this but was assured that Crewe was the place to change.
We got to Crewe and were told there were no trains to York and that we had to get a train to Manchester (ie the train we'd just got off). RAGE!
We finally caught a train to Manchester and got a train to York from there. In the process I missed the last train to Northallerton (well, there is one at 11:30pm but dude, no way) so Dad-Ra is coming to pick me up in a bit
I left my training course at 1:45pm and got home at 10pm. I have travelled on 6 different trains today. I have been up since 7am and most likely won't get back to my parents much before midnight
I was going to watch SPN to cheer me up but I don't think I'll have time to watch the whole episode so I think I'm just going to find some pics of pretty men to gaze at for a bit
