More Dead Man's Chest

You know, I think I'm the only person who liked Elizabeth in Dead Man's Chest. I liked her in this film a whole lot more than I did in the first one. Come on, we all know she had the potential to turn pirate. The way she got Jack drunk so she could escape in Curse of the Black Pearl, pretending to want to marry Norrington to save Will, escaping from the ship to save Will. Small things, yes, but it showed she is willing to do just about anything to help save the people she loves.

It's natural she would be drawn to Jack. They are very similar and of course I think she loves Will but it's natural for her to be tempted by Jack and his world. It's so different from the expectations society places on her as a woman. She can be free, and not wear corsets. LOL.

Look at the scene where she is trying to outrun Barbossa's ship. Even Gibbs remarks that she is crazy 'like Jack'

So, yeah, I liked her in Dead Man's Chest and I'm sure she'll atone for what she did to Jack in the next film
