There's been a lot of fuss going on about who is going to be deputy-boss in our office now that the current deputy has got a temporary promotion. It came down to me and Greg because we're the most experienced in the office. Today we got told that boss lady simply couldn't choose between because we're pretty much equal so we're going to take it in turns and do 3 month slots.

As of Monday I will be the manager of our office whenever boss lady is off and I can claim management pay for those days. Slightly daunting but slightly exciting too. Be good experience if nothing else
