This film had good aspects and bad

The Good
The relationship between Kong and Anne was captured perfectly. I shed tears on more than one occasion

Andy Serkis. The man rocks. Lumpy was hilarious (and alas died a tragic death). Kong was brilliant. Very expressive

Adrien Brody. Looked pretty for a man who is quite funny looking. So far from the creepy Noah in The Village

Jack Black. Well, he's great in everything really.

The natives of the island were VERY scary. It was cool

There was a ship! Anything with a ship gets points from me. I thought it was going to turn into Titanic at one point. LOL.

The ice skating! *sniffles* Reminded me of the snow dancing scene in Edward Scissorhands *sniffles more*


The Bad
Just a wee bit too much CGI. It started to become a bit obvious (especially during the chase down the valley with the dinosaurs)

The final line. Bleh! Cheese galore! It undid the whole ending for me

Sweeping shots using miniatures were a bit too obvious too

Naomi Watts has the biggest eyes in the world! I started to find it distracting.

I don't know if it was deliberate but everyone seemed to have lights shining in their eyes

Giant bugs! Ick! Not really necessary either.

The Empire State Building bit went on a bit too long. I did bawl when King finally died though

The car chase was silly

I think that's it. Overall I liked it but it's not my most squee worthy film of the year (I think that falls to Narnia)
