I had quite a pleasant day yesterday. Slept in and then spent the afternoon tidying the house ready for
drbillbongo's arrival on Wednesday. When that was done I spent a rather pleasant hour just lying on the sofa listening to a couple of my favourite albums from when I was a teenager (Dog Man Star by Suede and Definitely Maybe by Oasis). Can't remember the last time I just listened to music on its own. Usually I have it on as background noise while I'm doing other things. It was nice.
After that I played a bit of Morrowind and then we watched excerpts of the Slayercruise DVD which arrived yesterday. It was ok. Bit disappointed there wasn't clips from the rest of the cruise. It was just all the stuff the stars were involved with. Never mind, we watched the Karaoke and laughed a lot at James Leary singing Creed.
Finally got around to watching Cool World last night. Dude, it's weird. Weirder than I remember. I think the writer/director must have been on a LOT of drugs. Still, it was amusing.
Last night of the Proms was on last night and I forgot! Still, I caught the Sea Songs bit which has always been my favourite part. Don't you think Rule Brittania should be our national anthem? It's so uplifting compare to the dirge we have at the moment. I love Last Night of the Proms. Makes me proud to be British for a couple of hours ;)
