hilsWell, I've managed to get into an internet cafe because being without LJ for too long was driving me insane. It seems that we might not be getting the phone line connected until the 6th now so that means a few more days without internet. Gah!
Well, if I could go more than a couple of days without crying that would be great. We've moved into the new place now but we're already counting down the days until we can move out again. The upstairs toilet doesn't flush, the back door doesn't shut properly, none of the walls or floors are even so all our furniture looks wonky. My room is a weird shape so there's room for my bed and my wardrobe and that's about it. Fuck knows where I'm going to put my desk when I get it (the removal people broke my desk so I need to buy a new one before I can set up my PC) It's basically like the houses I lived in while I was a student, only the rent is the same as the Fangirl Pad was when we first moved in. The minor problems would be bearable if our landlady wasn't a complete FREAK! She won't let us to anything to her precious house and she even told me off for sorting out the phone bill without asking her. She won't let us put pictures on the wall so it's like living in a hotel and when I asked her for a burglar alarm she sais she'd have to 'research it' first. I phoned her up to tell her about the toilet and she sent her husband over to look at it. When he couldn't fix it either she then agreed to call out a plumber. Urgh! I hate it
I really don't want to move again. It's expensive and stressful but this woman is already pissing us off and we haven't even been here a week. When we signed the lease she made us provide our parents details in case 'there's any problems' We're 25 years old for christs sake!
*sigh*
On the plus side my cafepress stuff arrived today, less than a week after I asked for a replacement. We're now all ready to go on the cruise. God I need this holiday SO much. We're just going to sit around and get drunk for a week
