Why the hell is photoshop so damned complicated? And why is there such a drastic change between versions. I used to believe that Photoshop was the ultimate graphic tool. People who made their icons with Photoshop seemed to produce much prettier icons than I ever could with PSP. So, I decided I'd try and learn how to use it. Now, you'd thing something simple like adding text to a picture would be easy, wouldn't you? Not so. No, it's not just a case of clicking on the little text button and then clicking on the image. You have to alter the resolution of the pic first or the text won't show up. WTF??
So, I signed up for a Photoshop course. It was with version 6 and I have version 7 on my PC but I figured there wouldn't be much of a difference. There wasn't when I upgraded from PSP 6 to PSP 7. Wrong again. Excited when I learned new things I rushed home to practice on my PC at home. Where are all the cool buttons I was just using? Not here that's for sure. Photoshop 7 looks NOTHING like Photoshop 6. I might as well have been looking at a different programme.
Locked in the depths of despair I vowed never to use Photoshop untilrancour kindly gave me a Photoshop 7 training disk. I'm still not sure Photoshop and I will get along but I can at least give it one last try
