What year was it?
When I left school or when I started? I left in 1998
What were your three favorite bands?
I was really into the indie/britpop scene at the time. I was mostly listening to Suede, Pulp and Kula Shaker
What was your favorite outfit?
Baggy jumpers and jeans mostly
What was up with your hair?
Long and tied back, before I discovered gel so it was uber frizzy too
Who were your best friends?
supernaturalhel and Paula Webster. Helen is still one of my best friends and Paula pretty much ditched me when she went to uni
What did you do after school?
I can't really remember. I think sometimes I'd hang withsupernaturalhel and the rest of the time I'd just go home and bum around. I remember doing a LOT of reading in my lasy year of school
Where did you work?
B&Q. Hell on earth
Did you take the bus?
No, it wasn't far so I walked in with Paula who lived near me
Who did you have a crush on?
Ah, Simon Bean. The boy who I had a crush on right through school. He still crops up in my dreams occasionally. In fact he was there last night. Nothing major, I was just shopping and he was there too.
Did you fight with your parents?
I think I got most of that out of the way when I was a bit younger 14-16. We still argued a bit but nothing major
Who did you have a CELEBRITY crush on?
Why, Johnny Depp of course. I've had a crush on him since I was about 14. I'm trying to think who else there was...oh, David Boreanaz *blush*supernaturalhel? Can you think of anyone else?
Did you smoke cigarettes?
Sometimes I'd smoke when I was out clubbing but only after I'd had a few drinks
Did you lug all of your books around in your backpack all day because you were too nervous to find your locker?
Uh...no. We all went to find our lockers together
Did you have a 'clique'?
There was a big group of us that sort of took over one of the rooms in the 6th form common room. We called ourselves The Common Room Clan
Did you have "The Max" like Zach Kelly and Slater?
Now thatunderyourspell has explained what this is I can answer. We didn't have a diner or a burger bar but there was a LOVELY shop a bit like Subway that did delicious sandwiches for £1. It's still there actually. We'd go every lunchtime to fill ourselves up.
Admit it, were you popular?
I had friends in my own group but I wasn't part of the super-popular, good at everything group. They picked on me when I was younger but I was on quiet good speaking terms with most of them by the time we left school

Uh, I think I just wanted to be me

A writer

A super-cool music journalist. LOL!
