jazz_police's birthday. Somehow we got from a casual comment about the poppy appeal to a massive political debate. Dave is a pacifist and is totally anti-war and anti-violence. So much so that he feels we should have let the Nazi's invade because it would have saved us the millions of lives that were lost in the war. Personally I found his comments rather offensive, especially after what happened to Ben in Iraq. However, everyone is entitled to their opinion, the millions of people who died saw to that.
He's an idealist I guess, convinced we can build a eutopia if we all try. The problem is not everyone wants to try and those who don't are the ones who will stomp all over people like Dave and kill whomever and whatever they choose.
It shouldn't be like that, I agree, but it is
