Following on from [livejournal.com profile] flickums post, I thought I'd follow suit and say what I put on the three Marauder's CDs and why I chose them

Michelle Branch - Goodbye To You
Lunatic Calm - Leave You Far Behind
Dido - Thank You
Sarah Mclachlan - Full of Grace
Annie Lennox - Walking On Broken Glass
Queen - The Show Must Go On
REM - Losing My Religion
Satic-X - Cold
Voltaire - Dead Girls
Peter Gabriel - Salisbury Hill
Evanescence - Bring Me To Life
The Tea Party - The Messenger
Electric Six - Danger High Voltage
Bush - Out Of This World
The Pixies - Where Is My Mind

Ok then, here we go.

Michelle Branch - Goodbye To You
The first 'official' Spuffy song. Will always remind me of that wonderful kiss at the end of Tabula Rasa. The episode had not long aired when we put together Marauders I so of course it went on the list

Lunatic Calm - Leave You Far Behind
Discovered this on the Matrix Soundtrack and it was suck a kick-ass song that I loved it. Plus it was used on an amusing Lucozade ad that made me chuckle

Dido - Thank You
This song was on the radio ALL the time when I was in my final year at Uni. I distincly remember asking Fin to send me the MP3 through ICQ (before Fin and I had even met). It was one of the first MP3s I owned and it's such a lovely song. Nice, happy and fuzzy

Sarah Mclachlan - Full Of Grace
There was a LONG period of time when I couldn't listen to this song without crying. Just reminded me of the heartbreaking end of Season 2 of Buffy. It's a really beautiful song too.

Annie Lennox - Walking On Broken Glass
This was kind of a filler because I couln't think of anything else. Still, it's a great song and John Malkovich is in the video!

Queen - The Show Must Go On
Was going through a Moulin Rouge phase during Marauder's II. Wanted something from the soundtrack and opted for an original version of one of the songs instead. Queen are amazing and Freddie has an outstanding voice

REM - Losing My Religion
I love REM and this is by far their best song. Remember listening to it a lot when I was at school.

Static-X - Cold
Bit of confession to make. Discovered this on the Queen of the Damned soundtrack. Yes I KNOW the film was bad. But eye candy! And the soundtrack rocks! Was a tough choice to pick which song I chose from the CD and this one won because...well, just because.

Voltaire - Dead Girls
I discovered Voltair on the Poppy Z. Brite community. This has to be the most hilarious song about necrophila, ever. It's sick, twisted and somehow still funny. And he's got a sexy voice

Peter Gabriel - Solisbury Hill
I really can't remember where I first came across this song. It feels like I've known it forever. Always sends tingles down my neck when I hear it and it makes me feel all warm inside

Evanescence - Bring Me To Life
Was recommended this song by someone on LJ as a Season 6 Spuffy theme song. Downloaded it without knowing anything about it and instantly fell in love. The singers voice is amazing and it rocks. So much so Fin initially picked it as one of his songs too

The Tea Party - The Messenger
I have [livejournal.com profile] rashaka to thank for this one. I was putting together a spuffy CD a couple of years ago and she suggested this song. I'm not entirely sure what it's about but the singer has a great voice and it's a great tune

Electric Six - Danger High Voltage
I have my friend Matthew to thank for this one. He kept playing it until it got stuck in my head. Damn him!

Bush - Out Of This World
Two words. Crypt Door

The Pixies - Where Is My Mind
Have loved this song for years, and I'd kind of forgotten about it until I saw Fight Club recently. Now it was always be associated with a beautiful shot of skyscrapers exploding and collapsing in slow motion

Right that's it. Really should go to bed now
