My life - an update

hilsIt's been a while since I've done a proper update so since I have the day off (YAY!) I thought I'd settle myself down and write about the goings on in my life at the moment.
First of all, the situation with the office bitca seems to have been resolved. I'm guessing she got a telling off from her boss because she's been really nice to me since the outburst last week.
It's been a pretty sad week really. Saturday was the wedding that left me feeling morose, and I spent the next few days saying goodbye to people who are going away.

flickums on Monday for our last Old Orleans meal before she goes to uni. *sob*
Tuesday I met up with my friend Ros who starts her new job next week and is moving miles away.
Wednesday Ros had a Barbeque with a load of people I didn't know and I was invited. Now, those of you who have been reading my journal for a while will maybe remember this post I did back in January
My best friend from college announced to me last night that she wants to try and set me up with her boyfriends housemate at her birthday bash next month. She says he's perfect for me, he's 21, an English student and is in the process of having his first book published.
Well, I finally met him at this barbeque. All credit to Ros, she clearly knows what I go for in a guy. James and I really seemed to hit it off. We spent the whole night talking and barely even noticed the party going on around us. He writes gothic horror, and is into the whole vampire genre as much as me. Anyway, at the end of the night we swappped numbers and we're going to go out for a drink or something next month when he gets back to York to start his Masters. It's early days yet but I can see us being good friends even if nothing else comes from it.
