Ok, why is it that after weeks of shit all of a sudden everything in my life seems to fall into place. Let me recap over what has happened the last couple of days.
Left the house at 6:45 on Thursday morning and went to work. On the train I was suddenly inspired. Those of you who have been following my Fluffy Files series will know that I've been re-writing episodes of Buffy to make them a nice happy Buffy/Spike story. Anyway, I've been really struggling with Intervention. It's one of the most heavily re-written episodes and I've already written two other fics which take place in this episode. Anyway, on the train it suddenly hit me how I can do it without overlapping with anything else that has been done. Am now ready to get writing this weekend
Tried hard not to think about my crappy interview. Day was pretty dull but it was soon over and I headed to Laura's.
Lou was there with her and we sat around chatting for a bit before playing a game of Buffy Top Trumps. It was fun, a fairly mindless game but we kept laughing at the funny stats. Riley has a fear factor of 1. Hehehe
Then the time came to dye my hair. It didn't take too long and it looks really good! While I was waiting for it to develop we watched an episode of Buffy on BBC. It was Lie to Me from Season 2 and it was so funny to look at how different all the characters are. I got all nostalgic, especially as it was one of the first episodes I re-wrote for my Fluffy Files series.
Anyway, I finished off my hair and we had pizza before heading out. It turned out to be a sort of pub crawl as every time we got to the place we were supposed to meet Tyson and Bianca they'd moved somewhere else. We found them eventally and had a few drinks before heading off. I had such a fantastic night. It's going to sound weird but I don't tend to go out with other creative people and it was so nice to be able to talk about my writing without people looking at me like I'm weird.
Was having such a good time I missed my last train and had to stop over at Laura's. Had a dream about my interview which wasn't good but I soon shook it off.
Got to work the next day and Tom offered me the room in his house again. I said yes. Am going to look at it next week and providing it's ok I'll be moving in at the end of June.
Got home from work today to find the the editor from Cult Times had e mailed me in response to the CV I sent out a while ago. He said they accept work from freelance writers and to send him anything I've got for consideration.
Wow, it all seems to be happening at one. I'm HAPPY
