hilsBeen a while since I did a proper entry so here we go. What is going on in the life of Hils at the moment?
First of all, must acknowledge the fact that I am weak-willed. Try as I might I cannot bring myself to stop writing fanfic. This, however, got me thinking. Surely I should be able to channel my Buffy obsession (which I acknowledge it is. I am a Buffy geek) into something productive. Therefore I've decided to write off to pretty much every Buffy mag in the UK, official and otherwise and offer my services as a freelance writer. I don't care what it is they offer me, I just want to get some writing or editorial experience under my belt. They may well all tell me to bugger off but its worth a shot.
Should hear about my job application in the next week or so. Am feeling a bit torn. Must say that really the only reason I applied for the job was for a permanent job with a semi-decent wage. It's not something I want to do at all. If I get a job offer I'm going to have to decide whether money or job happiness is more important.
Got another driving lesson on Thursday. Am quite excited. Hopefully once I pass my test it will open up a lot of doors for me. I'll be able to move anywhere I want for a start. Better start studying for my theory test I suppose.
Romance continues to be a non event and I'm pretty happy about that. I have enough to deal with without worrying about relationship issues too. I'm not saying I'd say no if the right guy came along. I'm just glad he isn't knocking on my door right at this very moment.
