I have seen The Avengers


Overall it was amazing. Absolutely everything I needed it to be. Everyone was perfect, the plot was perfect.

But Phil. Oh, Phil :( His scenes with everyone were so wonderful and his fanboying over Cap was delightfully awkward. Joss, why must you kill everything I love?

I was so convinced when it turned out that Fury had lied about the cards that he'd lied about Phil being dead to motivate the Avengers into, well, avenging. But I guess he really is gone.

But, that aside (and I guess it needed to happen buy WHYYYYYYYYY) it was perfection.

I can't quite decide whether I want to hug Joss Whedon or punch him in the face.

But apart from that it was the shippiest film that I have ever shipped.

But what I really need is fix it fic. Please? Now? I suppose most of that won't happen until it gets released in the US. DAMN MY GLOATING ON TWITTER.

Going to see it tomorrow. Fully expect to bawl during all Phil's scenes.

OMG please let me know once you find a good Barton/Coulson fix it fic? And yes, I sat there as well just thinking 'come on, you can't just off such a great character for good!'
Also, did I miss something or did no one tell Clint they killed his bf?

Phiiiiiiiiiillllll!!!! I uhm. Totally cried in the theatre over that. And desperately hoped that Fury was lying and somehow Coulson would be back, and then I remembered: Joss.

Other than that, I loved it. And I'm glad Phil had a good death scene and a few awesome lines leading up to it.

Yeeesssss! Avengers!!!
I was so shocked when Phil died!! Did not see it coming at all :( and it only occurred to me after the movie; Phil was a much loved, fan favourite. Joss Whedon was running the show. Of course Phil had to die. *shakes fist*

I had so many favourite bits! How hilarious did Hulk end up being?!
And I giggle every time I think of how pleased Steve was when he got the flying monkey reference.

Excuse the tl;dr, I think I'm still riding the high. A day later, lol.
