You don't know what you've got

My laptop has been confiscated by one of the guys at work who has kindly obtained and is now fitting a new screen which should rid me of the pesky red line

I don't think I realised how attached to my laptop I was until I watched him pulling it to bits. It was like watching a vet performing an operation on a beloved pet.

I've grown very attached to my laptop and was feeling quite wibbly about the prospect of buying a new one. It's my first laptop and I hated the idea of replacing it with something new and shiny. Really, I should not be this attached to random objects but I don't feel that way about my phone or iPod. Just my laptop.

LJ is actually blocked at work but DW isn't so woo hoo. Cross-posting does come in handy sometimes ;)
