NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!

Do you have any idea how traumatised I was by the TV movie. That thing was largely responsible for my current fear of clowns

I will not be watching it. I have a rather bad history with it!

After my Father died, my half-sister gave me the book to read. Read it travelling between my mothers house as our own, in the car, up to the funeral.

Re-read it, Michael died.

Got the video of the film, Mother died.

Bit of a curse for me really!

I'm still scared of Tim Curry - and clowns in general. However, I can't deny that I loved the story.

I enjoyed the book more than the film. Must be a visual thing.

It's all because of John-Boy. *nods* He was really annoying in the film.

*lol* I loved that book, and the series when I was younger. Never got any fear of clowns though. I'm curious as to what they'll do with the stuff.

I didn't find the book so scary. Just the movie.

I doubt that the new Pennywise will be as good - and creepy - as Tim Curry.

Almost certainly not but I don't plan on finding out

I'm glad it wasn't just me who got seriously creeped out by Pennywise. He is responsible for my dislike of clowns, and probably the reason I didn't read Stephen King for the best part of a decade. I recall reading the book when I was about 12 or 13. It must have taken me the best part of a year to get through it.

BTW petzipellepingo, that icon is just the right amount of spooky. I like it.

Funnily enough I devoured the book. I think I read it twice in a year when I was about 13. The film though...*shudders*

Ooooh!! I think the tv movie is fun. I just read the book and there's SO MUCH more to it. I hope they make a good film. :)

It really isn't that scary. When did you last watch it? The effects are pretty crap.

The book actually creeped me out more.

Hehe! To be fair I haven't watched it since I was a kid. I don't think I'd want to watch it again now

OMG! How wild!

The book is one of my most favourites ever, and the I **LOVED** the miniseries! I used to put it on as background noise when rockgod jr was an infant, from the tapes I made from when it aired, and now I have the DVD to watch whenever I want!

But I agree, no way will they find anyone creepier than Tim Curry for Pennywise...they should just get him to reprise the role and be done with it.
