I think I'm sold on this show now. Another strong episode. Not quite as exciting as last weeks but it's definitely setting up the plot nicely and I liked seeing Echo interacting with another Active, especially since they seem to remember each other after treatment.

Can someone explain something? The Russian guy who is working with Paul and set him up. Is he an Active? Was that him in the chair? If so, what the hell? I have no idea what's going on there. LOL!

And I'm kind of loving Paul's neighbour. Since it's Joss I suspect when she and Paul finally get together or he falls in love with her she will die :(

Paul is the FBI agent. The Russian guy, I don't know his name, but he's the one Paul keeps questioning about Dollhouse

I think that Russian guy is TOTALLY an Active ... that was him in the chair, although I don't know what they're playing at ....

And I LOVE that Echo and that other Active remember each other ...

And there is way more to Paul's neighbor than what we've been told ...

Yeah, the Russian guy was in the chair they called him Victor, so he is an Active. Which is pretty intriguing, ooooh!

He's an active - I'm guessing that the Dollhouse is onto Paul and using Victor to throw him off the trail?

Yeah, that seems likely!

Head of security guy last week mentioned him, and seemed to have a file, if I recall - he was talking it over with boss lady.

My problem with Victor being an active is he's hooked into that scene - someone just doesn't suddenly turn up, and know people. If he was busted, and found his way to the Dollhouse, there'd be records, and Paul is keen enough to check the records of the sources he uses. Can the organisation be that powerful, to enter police and FBI computer systems, set up new records, and not leave any traces? Maybe - to be fair, given that the US is currently trying to extradite a man who waltzed into 22 computer systems, including military ones, it's possible. Also they had to cover up that building they've got.

Puzzling - but my main concern is, how long term can they send an Active under, they keep bringing him back sure, but how many times can they same imprint be imprinted upon a person. Why would they take that risk? At best, the Active is gaurenteed not to be caught out lying - but if Paul were to smell something funny, he would have the vital link back to the Dollhouse.

I'm actually warming to it myself, I was pretty scathing over the first episode - and a lot of those issues still persist.

As to the neighbour - I did entertain thoughts that she might be an Active, but she doesn't fit the profile of the other Actives, and two Actives against one FBI agent, double the risk, and for no real reason? She'd be under imprint too long anyway.

Does that mean she fits the standard profile of love interest for Paul? I don't think so either - she still doesn't fit right. Maybe she's working for someone else, keeping close to someone they believe will lead them to the Dollhouse, and the technology behind it. Think about it, Paul's said that there's a lot of power, and money that have kept the Dollhouse investigation open, and him in work. Could be government, imagine the potential for espionage uses, or maybe corporation, or foreign government. One of those fits better in my mind at this point, and hints at a closed loop - rather than an open plot hole.

I've got more to say, but little time to say it - you'll have to ask for more later, if you want it.

I think the show will answer a lot of these questions in time. It's not Smallville ;)
