Snow has mostly melted and left a lovely sheet of ice on all the paths. Nearly slipped a couple of times in my way in to work this morning. Am grateful for the extra pair of thick socks I put on!

What's it like where you are? Still snowy? Are you still off work/school?

We still have our snow, but on the unsnowy bits (i.e. the roads) it's like a sheet of ice. Halfway to work I thought better of risking life and limb and turned back, thinking if I actually got to work and no one was there it wouldn't be worth it.

Of course when I rang in and everyone was there I felt like an idiot! It's sunny now, so I'm going to go in later when it's melted a bit.

It's stopped snowing, but is icy like crazy, and not much has melted. It looks really pretty outside, but if I stepped out I'd probably slip and injure my self!

Taking another day off uni! :D But apparently it's snowy for the rest of the week...

Roads are icy and covered in compacted snow but nothing major.

I don't think Bristol had 'time off', we got it late and while it was a good snowfall it wasn't disruptive.

Snow has all gone, wasn't cold enough last night for ice. Pretty much gone totally! Then we didn't get it that bad in the first place!

My road is still thick with snow and ice. No cars moving. Tried to walk down path to pavement and couldn't move because of ice under the snow! Fun. Staying in the warm and writing.

Yup - College and school is closed so I'm at home with the boys. Mr Cee tried to get to work, but stood on a train for 1 hour in the station and then gave up as there were two broken down trains on the line they couldn't shift!

So we're all home again :)

It was snowing at 8:30-9 this morning, so we parked up and walked up the hill because it was sticking and work is up a big, non-gritted hill. Snow's stopped and it's sunny now, but snow doesn't seem to be melting. VERY cold out!

There is snow! Lots and lots of snow!
Mum & LLB school/college off today but Dad made it to work.
Pretty good on the roads actually. They were out gritting really early yesterday cos I got spattered by one at about half past four.
There are children (plus LLB & his mates) sledging down the road. Tis a wonderful sight to behold.

Just so you know...there is an art to falling - take it from someone who has done it so many times that she has become an expert at not breaking bones. *g*

1) Your arms - not going to break your fall. Keep them out like that and the only that will be broken will be your wrist (lesson learned at age 11)

2)Try to land on your side - you will avoid the whole arm thing (see above) and the whole falling backwards onto your backpack and crushing your laptop thing (lesson learned at age 15)

3) Gravity is a bitch who can not be beaten. If it's gonna happen anyway just go with it (lesson relearned every damn year)
