Wow, it's February already. How did that happen?

On the plus side it's less than two weeks until the Merlin meetup which I am very excited about.

Last night I dreamt I was trying to go to the beach where they filmed The Labyrinth of Gedref only when I got there the tide was in so I couldn't see anything. Instead of going away I started wading into the water so I could get a decent photo. LOL.

I'm thinking of going to Glastonbury in March for a weekend. The town, not the music festival I hasten to add. It's just somewhere I've fancied going for a long time. Anyone live near there who would be interested in meeting up?

Now I need to decide whether to go into work. My boss made it clear that I in no way had to but he said it would make things easier if I did. I'm sure if I don't go in I'll feel guilty. I was kind of hoping it would snow so at least I'd have an excuse but so far the skies are clear. The job itself should only take an hour at most but it's a 30 minute walk to get there...

Having been on the beach for the past few days, I find your dream slightly spooky.. :P

As to going in to work...does your back still hurt?

In that case, the walk is good for you. :D Unless weather is horrible. And if you didn't go in, what else would you be doing?

Heh, I went to work on Friday fully expecting to be doing the usual, but I ended up photocopying, stapling, making booklets (where three coloured pages had to be slid into the rest of the booklet and THEN stapled..but printing had gone weird so there were pages that were out of order that I had to sort through), pulling out misfeeds from the poor overheating printer, typing up lists..

The only time I even TOUCHED technology (besides printers, and a computer to type with) was setting up for teachers and discovering that one of the servers wasn't working from a mac but was fine from a PC...oh, and helping new year 7s log on to the intranet and getting all sort of strange errors.. Oh. and reminding a teacher how to upload files to the intranet.

And all that in 40+ deg. c weather..

*ahem* I didn't meant to rant..

Hee!!! All I need to do when I go in is install some new software onto one of our servers. Shouldn't take too long, exept I have to add an hour onto that time as work is a 30 min walk in each direction. I'll see what it's like when I'm ready to go out. If it's cold/wet I'm staying home

Time is really going very quickly but I'm looking forward to February. Lots of nice things happening :D

And Arthur is buried near there as well which is an added incentive ;D

I'm sort of planning to go over the Easter weekend but nothing definite yet. *fails at planning*

Always useful to be helpful just before you might need references for a new job.

Just sayin'

It's snowing here!

Oh, I've done plenty of weekend working over the past few months. I don't think they can fault me for missing one

It's snowing here now too so I am staying inside

Glastonbury is my favouritist place in the world ever! (Actually, Wells is, but it's only a couple of miles away, so it still counts). You'll love it. You'd adore Tintagel too.

OOH! Tintagel looks amazing! *adds it to the list of places to visit this year*

I wish I had a car. Would make these trips a lot easier. LOL!

If you had a car you could get to places like Cadbury castle (Camelot), Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole from Glastonbury. Wells would definitely be a good bus trip to take, the place is so sleepy and the cathedral is beautiful.

I did a lot of my first web site on Glastonbury and I've been there a few times. If there's anything you need to know...

I want to know why they don't have a train station ;)

Seriously, though. I'll let you know when I've booked something so you can recommend places to go :)

I can always go back later in the year when I do have a car :)

So it doesn't get clogged up with hippies!

I'm almost tempted to say I'll come! But I'm skint.

Have a poke about here: http://members.lycos.co.uk/oldalbion/somerset/somerset.html

But be quick, Lycos are getting rid of their free webspace and it's going to be deleted very soon (I don't have enough space on my Virgin webspace to annexe it to my main site alas).

OOH!

Trip won't be until the end of March if you want to save your pennies ;)

I'm meant to be saving for a trip to Canada and paying off the credit card but I am a bit tempted. I could fill your weekend up with sights (Arthurian and otherwise) no problem.

Excellent! Well, I'll let you know when I've booked train tickets and a B&B. Need to wait for my overtime money from work before I do anything :)

Well, you've probably got an idea of how crazy my schedule is, but I'm on your way to Glastonbury - most/all of the buses out there go through Bristol.

Been down three times since the start of my third year.

Well, I'll let you know when I've booked it and we can see if we can sort something out :) No worries if you can't
