Well, I was warned...

1. Chloe, please to be fucking off. I do not need you as a Clana enabler. Do you realise how much good work you undid in that one scene?

2. Tess. You were awesome until you jumped on the 'must save Lana for she is good and pure and perfect' bandwagon. Luckily you redeemed yourself by kicking someone to death

3. Random dude who trained Lana. Fuck off. If she is your salvation then you are screwed

4. Thankfully all was made good by Lana having her own agenda and wanting to be superhuman. I actually have respect for her for doing this.

5. Clark *sighs* You had nothing to do in this episode and I REALLY wanted you to tell Lana to get lost at the end. Instead you kissed her. I am beyond disappointed in you again

Please tell me Lois will be back soon!

This whole episode was just to proclaim how wonderful Lana is, wasn't it. I really thought we were beyond that now that AlMiles had left

Oh, and that medallion was totally the Pendragon crest. Or maybe I've just been watching too much Merlin

The episode was all out ridiculous. I've been skimming the boards and everyone (well almost everyone) seems to be irritated about it.

It was just one big Lana love-fest. Which, really, we haven't had enough of over the last 8 years *eyeroll*

It indeed was the Lana show ... And Clark lost so much character development in the span of a one hour show ... *sigh* ...

But seriously, your SV recap posts sort of make me weep. Oh, Show. I'm so glad I stopped watching you before you completely abandoned Earth Logic. ;_;

It was doing so well this year, until Lana came back

*pats you* There, there. It's all right. *commiserates*

Here, have my favorite, fluffy, cheer-me-up CLex fic. Which, y'know, I'm sure everyone has already read, but hey, it's escapist, canon-denying fluff, which never goes wrong when it comes to SV, at least that I can tell. ^^

=3 I can't even describe why I love it so much, except, like Lex-in-jeans + takeout chinese + MOUSE + porn star hat and somehow this all just works for me. *is a complete dork* XD

It was bad enough in "Promise," Chloe--you fucked everything up then, and you did it again! Too bad Clark doesn't trust his own convictions enough not to let his friends influence him with their perennially poor advice.

Yes. It was so bad I haven't even found any pro-Lanas who've written a good review!

And personally I DON'T have respect for Lana wanting to be superhuman. You want to stop being a victim and learn to fight back? Do what other kick-ass people do and learn kick-boxing properly, do some martial arts training, go jogging every day, do yoga, drink milk and, you know, WORK at it!

Do we respect firemen, policemen, army officers etc any less because they are not superpowered? No, we respect them MORE, because they are using their own talents to the best of their abilities. The idea that you can only be srong and make a difference in the world if you have some kind of supersuit is APALLING. What's it telling people exactly? Why bother training to stay fit when you can get a quick fix supersuit? No. We have enough problems with obesity and such in the world without promoting messages like that.

I respect her for wanting to not be a victim and to fight back and help the world, but IMO she took the easy opinion and that's wrong. DC!Lana was, I gather, supposed to be an example of someone who lead an ordinary life and accomplished great things through it. Making her superpowered, ironically, takes AWAY all of her character's power.

(p.s. Sorry, didn't mean to flame you! This rant's been bubbling in me since I watched the damn thing and it seems it chose here to come out. Thank's for being a springboard :D)

Hee! Ok, it's possible I expressed it wrong.

I meant I respect her for conning everyone into assuming she needed to be rescued. I dunno. It just made me laugh that it was her plan all along

Oh, like when they found her room trashed and thought she was in danger? I see. Yeah it was kinda fun that everyone assumed 'poor little Lana' needed help when really she was the mastermind :)

But, actually, what was up with that anyway? If she was going off to the procedure of her own free will why DID her room get ransacked? Another round the make-no-sense-ville there :p

Didn't they say it had been ransacked by the security dude who was trying to find her? I can't remember. LOL

It was a stupid episode anyway

Yeah I think the security guard who was trying to find her did it.

The minor redeeming quality for me was that the Allison Mack fangirl in me was happy she finally got to direct.

That, and apparently Tess, for the most part, just keeps getting cooler.

The rest? It can go away. Lana can flounce off into the sunset again and stop making us all disappointed by the show. We were so thrilled with the direction this season was going until she came back, weren't we? I have memories of happy/excited feelings with regards to Smallville that seem to be getting distant lately.
