I am getting sick of people on Facebook inviting me to join a community in order to mourn the death of a child that has been reported in the press.

Of course I was sad that Baby P and Amy Howson were killed but really, wailing on a Facebook community is going to achieve nothing.

Tell me, flist, if I remove people from my Facebook will they no longer be able to invite me to join these stupid things

I think if you removed them as friends you'd no longer receive invitations, although a non-friend can issue an invite through a group. However you can instead just block them from inviting you to something instead of 'unfriending' them.

Meh! I've been thinking about doing a clearout on Facebook anyway. Loads of people from school on there that I have zero in common with and little desire to talk to.
