Egads that was an emotional journey. When I thought Hunith was going to die I didn't really care (does that make me a bad person?) but then Gaius went off to sacrifice himself and I wibbled. But it all worked out in the end

Yes, I did cry when Merlin went to say goodbye to Arthur and they went back over their first conversation in the first episode.

The Arthur/Gwen scenes grated a bit but I can see what they're trying to do...

Morgana was a bit of a waste of time in this episode. LOL.

Loved poor Uther all grief-stricken :(

Angry!Merlin is totally made of win! I was kind of hoping to draw out the whole plot with Nimue but I can see why they ended it since they didn't know there was going to be series 2.

I wonder what's going to happen to the slash dragon now Merlin isn't his friend. I still can't believe he tried to fry Merlin!!

Still, no one major died so I am happy! And there was no cliffhanger! Huzzah!

No, it doesn't. Not at all. I was the same, a little relieved actually, when I thought that someone else might die rather than Gaius.

I bawled like a baby, for about 20 of the 45 minutes. The other 25 were spent flailing, screaming, and just generally squeeing. This episode was awesome.

Also, on a non-ego related note? Everybody lived! Hoorah! I was absolutely convinced they were going to kill off Gaius - I kept expecting him to suddenly drop at any moment, so consider me very relieved.

Loved this, but man, Nimeuh's lines are nothing but cliches 'I thought we could rule the world together' and so on.... Blech.

Oh, and Gwen was lovely and adorable and they are so trying to backpedal and plant the seeds of Gwen/Arthur now aren't they? Hee!

Totally sobbed like a child through most of it. Was such a sobby wreck that by the time Hunith turned up I barely had any more tears left. They came back when Gaius toddled off to sacrifice himself though.
Slash Dragon = selfish so and so (I totally called that) and will not be able to see the fruits of his labours as Merlin hates him. Meanie dragon.
Angry!Merlin rocks.

And to hark back to an earlier conversation, ordered brother to order and take care of pizza which arrived as the credits rolled. Woohoo!

i agree completely about the Arthur/gwen scenes and Morgana. I also did wibble when Gaius went off. I liked Uther in the ep.

Arthur... didnt really do much for me in this ep...

I loved the bit at the end when Merlin got rid of Nimeuh and then the whole Guaius and Merlin in the rain bit was lovely.

A good ep, but seemed quite short to me I think, like they were tryin to get so much into the episode... still good though :-)
