Another Arthur-lite episode but the thing that gets me about this show is that it doesn't matter. Prior to Season 8 I hated any episode of Smallville that was lacking in Lex becuase he was the reason I was watching it

I love Merlin, and I pretty much love Morgana now and this episode made me love Gwen too. Even though Uther is an arse I've kind of loved him since Excalibur.

I was actually expecting this to be the start of Morgana's descent into evil and I suppose it sort of was. I'll admit I was pleased when she and Uther made up though.

The slash dragon has evidently turned into one of those extreme shippers that bashes all characters who interfere with his OTP. "Uther must die so Merlin and Arthur can be together."

Nice to see Merlin weilding his big staff again though ;) It that the one he nabbed from the Sidhe? I also liked him digging out his magic book. It feels like forever since we saw it.

Oh, and Colin was looking particularly cute this week. Has he done something different with his hair? I did love his bed hair

I need a Colin and/or Merlin icon. I don't have one of him on his own

I am almost certain next weeks episode is going to break me :(

I think the slash dragon needs to sort out his personal issues before he tries giving Merlin any more advice :P

I really loved this episode, although I think I'm in the minority there... a lot of people seem to have taken this as filler before the finale, but I really loved the backstory that came out here, and there was a lot of character development I really enjoyed.

OMG next week is going to kill us all!

No, I think they like it, just that I've seen a lot of people saying this episode didn't strike them as much as others... maybe it was that everyone got distracted by the trailer for next week, and the awesome will set in once we've all processed it.

Maybe, but I don't think that's it. I think next week's episode has just taken everyone by surprise. People are expressing a lot of astonishment at that, rather than discussing this episode, that's all.
