Argh with a mix of squee

I always forget how hellishly busy town is on the last couple of weekends before Christmas, although I have to say the Post Office wasn't as busy as I expected. The mysterious package was from someone on wish_list who said she was going to send me some candy corn. It's a very heavy box though so I'm guessing she's put some other goodies in there too. I'm saving it for Christmas to open it *g*

Bought some hair dye so I can do my hair before Crimbo (or jacqui_hw can do it to be more precise). I don't even want to think about the hellish queues in Superdrug. I must have been in line for about half an hour, and I was carrying the heavy package which made things worse. I wouldn't have bothered but I needed toothpaste and shower gel too.

I'm not sure what Derek has planned for this afteroon but he was talking about going iPod shopping. Usually I love shopping for gadgets for other people but the crowds are just...argh! Ah well, I shall just have to wait and see what happens.

In the meantime I'm going to eat my lunch and watch this weeks Sarah Connor Chronicles

Yeah, there seemed to be a child throwing a tantrum in every single place I visited and the tram was a very slow moving tin of sardines. Luckily I was able to just get what I needed and then leg it.
