I can't believe I was up until 3:30am because I couldn't stop reading Memoirs of a Geisha. I can't remember the last time a book gripped me like this.

Mum-Ra will be here shortly and we will be heading out for lunch and shopping. I don't think she's planning on staying too long. Town is hellish at this time of year and it does my claustrophobia no good.

I got my first merlinadvent fic back from beta yesterday which is awesome! So the plan today is to get my merlin_the_elf fic typed up after Mum-Ra has gone. Then I'll resume watching my shows if I have time.

Oh, and our Christmas decorations are all up. I'll take photos later.

I read Memoirs when it came out -- and, yeah, it was one of those books for me, too. Read it in a single day, swallowed it whole. Hated the film, but the book was beautiful.

I really wasn't expecting to get through it this quickly. It's good though. I love books that grab me like this
