I want to say that I enjoyed this but that's not really the right word. It made me think a lot, which is good I suppose. Quite bleak in places but with a message of hope at the end.

I was looking through my book list yesterday and I noticed there's not a lot of what the literary snob in me would call 'proper books'. There's a lot of graphic novels and sci-fi on there, which is good, but I do like variety

Next on the list is Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden. That should do the trick :)

Have you seen the movie? I liked the movie but I'm afraid to read the book because I might like it better.

Hehe! Books are generally better than films I find

I won't even go near the film of Captain Correlli's Mandolin
