I actually can't decide whether I liked this episode or not. It was certainly a lot darker than the rest of it has been.

Did it remind anyone else of The Omen? All the sinister music whenever the kid was on screen.

On the other hand I loved the walking boots. Very Harry Potter and of course the key flying around Arthur's head was made of win.

Poor Merlin was all conflicted about whether to save his boyfriend or save a little boy. Bless him. He was very woobie and cuddlesome in this episode

I was slightly surprised that Morgana trusted Merlin more than Arthur did. But then Arthur decided he wanted Merlin on his team and that was cute.

I really liked tonight's episode. It was all intense and lots of conflicted stuff happening. Poor woobie Merlin having to choose between dropping Arthur in it in the short term or doing something that's going to lead to his death in the long term. I'm definitely feeling plotbunnies nipping at my heels after this.

I saw this ep kind of like Hourglass (I'll stop comparing to SV any day now), in which we're getting forshadowning for everyone. I enjoyed it because I like Morgana, Arthur, and Merlin, and this ep seemed to be moving their characters forward by putting them in a difficult position.

Merlin: Something bad: boy dying. Something UNIMAGINABLE (Arthur dying :(((
