I'm so pleased everyone enjoyed meeting Bradley and Colin today. Can't wait to read all the reports and gawk over the photos

So, tonight's episode


Wellll, I can see this was a necessary episode and I did enjoy it, but let's face it there wasn't much of a squee factor this week. Arthur was barely in it.

But that aside I liked seeing into Gaius's past and what happened when Uther decided to ban magic from the kingdom. It was nice and subtle too. I didn't even realise what 'The Great Purge' was until Gaius confronted Edwin. And Gaius did the right thing in the end so huzzah!

Merlin was particularly cute this week.

And next week we have Arthur in peril again so I suspect that will have lots of slashy potential.

I don't think anything is going to top Lancelot though. LOL!

Edit: There WAS slash thinking about it. When Merlin is talking to Edwin about love, for seemingly no reason. We all know who he was thinking about

Oh, and the dragon was spouting messages of slash again this week too.

And of course there was the cute pacing scene

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that Merlin was thinking of Arthur when he brought up love, randomly. I also thought it was couplish when Merlin was pacing around and annoying Arthur... then Arthur started pacing around.

I thought this was a pretty good episode. Well constructed and building its tension from elements we've already seen. Let's face it. We're all waiting for 1) Uther to kick the bucket. and 2) Arthur to figure out his manservant/bff is a sorcerer.

I love what a smart ass the dragon is.
