Merlin is on right now but we're about about to have dinner and my parents are recording it to watch later *breathes into a paper bag*

I'm considering having marshmallow sweet potatoes tomorrow. Think it'd go ok with roast chicken?

Since it's just me having them how many potatoes do you think I should do? 2? 3?

Marshmallow (or Candied) sweet potatoes go well with chicken, turkey, roast beef, so you should enjoy them *G*. They're even better if you put about two ounces of orange juice into them before you put them in the oven.

My mom's rule of thumb is to do one good sized potato for each person, unless it's a Thanksgiving type meal and then she tosses in a few extra because people will want seconds.

Since sweet potatoes come in all shapes and sizes, that's a bit of a trick question. I wouldn't have thought you'd want more than one sort-of baking potato-sized one, unless it's the only vegetable you're going to have.

I think marshmellow sweet potatoes (which I just call yams... which is a weird word, now that I think about it) would be good with chicken. I don't like them myself, but my family has them with chicken.

I say two potatoes. One fair sized one should be enough, but you might want seconds if you like them.
