I don't think I'd ever really considered why Lana named her company The Isis Foundation until today. Greg was asking who Isis was in realtion to Egyptian mythology and I came across this

Isis is a goddess in Ancient Egyptian religious beliefs and is celebrated in their mythology as the ideal mother and wife, patron of nature and magic; friend of slaves, sinners, artisans, the downtrodden, as well as listening to the prayers of the wealthy, maidens, aristocrats and rulers.

Yup, that sounds like pretty much how The Goughlar has portrayed Lana for the last seven years. I'm really not looking forward to her coming back in Season 8

*tries to choke down lengthy post on Egyptian mythology*

I've actually never been able to figure out WTF SV thinks it's doing with Egypt. The Talon was decorated with badly-painted Egyptian gods on the columns for no good reason, and then Lex found one of the three crystals in that horrifically fake-looking statue that I can only assume was supposed to be an Egyptian god, and now there's the Isis Foundation. Mostly the impression I got was that Al!Miles thought, "Hey! Egypt stuff looks cool!" and the thought process didn't go any further.

Needless to say, it makes me want to slap a couple of bitch ex-showrunners. :P
