You know what pisses me off? Snobby geeks. There's one that works in my local comic shop and I hate going in there when he's working. He always looks at me with this air of disdain when he sees my Buffy and Angel comics, like they're not proper comics because they were a TV show first, and that I shouldn't be in his shop because I'm not a proper comics fan.

Urgh! Everyone else that works there is really nice. This guy just clearly thinks he should only be selling a certain type of comic to a certain type of person. I bet he's the type of guy who is only friends with other geeks and is incapable of having non-geek related conversation

And another thing. Why don't they make geeky t-shirts in fitted ladies sizes? Dave bought me this rather awesome t-shirt for my birthday but they only had them in standard (read male) sizes so it looks kind of shapeless on me



I know I'm a bit overweight but I would kind of like to show off my curves and my boobs

That was more ranty than I first intended. LOL!

I have bought stuff from cafepress before but most of their fitted stuff is only available in white, and it costs a fortune to get stuff shipped from there to here

Oh then there are the just illogical snobs! I met one in a comic shop in the midlands. I got the Buffy comic no problem, he even gave me the cover he had saved aside. But when I asked about the Spike comic, you should've seen the look I got!

I think every comic shop has one of those snobs. My shop's snob is the owner. Yay me! LOL He freaks out because I buy comics about women in skimpy outfits. He thought it made me bi or gay or something. I have no idea. I was tempted to ask him since his favorites were Spiderman and Superman did reading about men in tights make him gay? LOL

There's always someone that has to ruin the fun.

I remember a few years ago the old owner of my comics shop used to practically squee with delight because a girl was in a comic shop. He used to give me free stuff just to get me to come back. LOL! I miss those days ;)

I'm with you on the tshirt thing. I've even bought youth xl size in an attempt to get a better fitting slightly more figure hugging shirt when there no female sizes grrr! Happy Birthday btw. :)

Its healthier anyway to be a bit overweight, then skinny and underweight.

I have a cousin, she is like 10 kilos underweight , and is making jokes about it (and she complains all the time about health problems).
Everytime, I feel like i want to hit her. and scream, that she knows the doctor said, she is underweight, and she should eat more.

yeah, thats right, but do you feel sick all the time?
you make a very healthy and fit impression on me. maybe you would not run marathons but then neither do i, and i hate sports, though i have normal weight.

and I mean it, like every second day, my cousins complains about headaches, pain in the legs. and aches everywhere.
and she still does not eat and drink.
like 2 coffees per day, and 1 glass of orange juice is keeping her alive.

*sigh* Yeah, I hate those snobby geeks, too. It's the same with video games. Stupid. He should be glad that you're coming to his shop and helping him earn money. I suppose when he looks at his paycheck, he doesn't mind which kind of comic fan his money comes from, does it? *facepalm*

Some websites sell geek shirts in female sizes, if I remember correctly. allposters (http://www.allposters.co.uk/?lang=1&dom=1), for example. But I don't know if all their shirts are available in female sizes. I never buy those. ;) By the way, do you know threadless (http://www.threadless.com)? They have all kinds of sizes. :)
