You know me, I'm really quite enjoying it - beyond episodal enjoyment. More Clark, and more Ollie, less Lana - it balances out Lex leaving - and Mercy is even growing a character... I know bestill your heart... it's true.

I'm more positive about the show than most and I'm enjoying it so far, Toxic aside...

I like Ollie, but I really didn't care that much about learning more about him. The episode wasn't the best origin story I've ever seen, either...

Tom is looking awesome, Chloe's new power is better than the old one, I love the Clois!, and I actually like Tess and Davis more than I thought I would...

There were some good parts, but Davis' subplot was ridiculous... just ignore the Davis bits and I think it's watchable.

As for Ollie's flashbacks, I think the desert island story is just another excuse to get Justin to take his shirt off.

He looks great, but Tom is the one who needs to take his shirt off.

It's not fair, but it looks like we'll get some super bare chest tonight!

I think you know I adore this show, so that may make my opinion suspect, but I think this season is wonderful. Clark is embracing his destiny, wearing dreamy suits, and acting like a big damn hero. And Tom has never looked hotter, IMO.

Lois's characterization drove me crazy last season (sleeping with her boss, being less than smart on occasion, having clunker lines), but I'm enjoying her so far in S8, and I especially like her scenes with Clark.

I'm glad they made JH a regular, and I think the Clark/Oliver dynamic is great. I'm even warming up to Tess. I'd say it's all good.

I have surprisingly been enjoying the new season. I thought without Lex they would lose me for all but the Epic! episodes they tend to have like Justice.

But I like that Clark is finally an ADULT. Good bye to that horrid jacket. Now someone destroy his shirt so I can get my fix.

I've loved JH for years, (the joys of a soap opera is that he was shirt less 95% of the time, and as a billionare in his hot tub or pool for no reason, which would lead to convos by the pool and no shirt for months at a time) and his playing of Ollie makes me like the char more. If it was another actor I would probably like him less, with the people killing etc...and the general lack of Love I've had for green arrow over the years.

And Lois! Wee. She's finally showing that side that makes her at top reporter and and a great LL. I'm starting to like her more than Gasp! the Terri Hatcher version.

No Lana always a win.

I can't seem to like Tess though. Even with making her my favorite Lex henchman I can't. I just keep going La La La whenever someone mentions that she's Mercy. Though her placement makes sense now. It's like of course she's Mercy who else would lex trust.

I enjoy the pretty mens, but that's not enough to keep me watching.
Seriously, I've tried to enjoy where they're taking the show, but I just can't get on board with the Clois. For me, from the very beginning, it's been Chlark. It seemed like it was written to be Chlark. Even though you're supposed to know "LIEK OMG CLARK MARRIES LOIS", you still love the fuck out of some Clark & Chloe.
The entire way they handled the Fever Letter was just four flavors of wrong. They should have just left it alone, being one of the best things about the Chlark pairing, but instead they have to rip it to shreds in an attempt to make viewers jump ship to Clois.

Not happening. I'm jumping ship to Heroes and Supernatural, thanks.

I will however cheer for Tess and Oliver. Fucking love those two!

i might've gone with option two, but i don't think it's really exactly *good*. surprisingly not-as-terrible-as-expected, yeah. and gosh, i'm enjoying clark's wardrobe and how well he wears it!

oddly enough, i don't miss lex, though i started watching the show for MR. maybe i just gave up on the clex and backed off emotionally so that, whatever they do, i just go, "ok."

I'm enjoying season 8 because I'm not getting upset about the poor writing for Lex, and Clark doesn't have anyone to be hypocritical with any more so I find I don't hate him either
