Is it possible for youtube videos to be cut? I would love an animated icon of Simon's Cat pointing at his mouth but I'm not sure if it can be done. Here's the vid. The bit I want is right at the end

maybe looking for a free screenrecorder software, and just recording off the screen the parts, that you want?

That's not a bad idea, so long as I can resize the clip to 100x100 afterwards

not sure if these sites resize , but you could look (should your own gif software does not resize)

The other way you can do it is like a flick book saving the individual frames and putting them into an arts package. You'd have to be good with the pause button though. Excellent animation. Just like my cat!!!! LOL

You can, I've done it before with this animation actually...but then it ended up too big and blah blah blah. Basically what I did was download the video, change it from .flv to something else probably a .gif or something then opened up the frames I need in Animation Shop and then alter them to the size I want and save...I could do it for you except I accidentally deleted PSP and AS from my computer. I'm buying the new PSP soon but I don't think it comes with AS so I'll have to buy that too *sigh*
