Am I the only one not bothered that they're remaking Rocky Horror?

The film itself isn't original. The stage play came first and had different actors (and Tim Curry) and there have been countless stage productions since with different actors (and no Tim Curry)

I don't see that making another film with new actors is any different.

But I've only seen the film once so maybe I don't get it. LOL!

I got it in 1975, and don't have it any more, I think I gave it away, or it got lost. Not even sure if it is still in print.

I was 15 at the time, but did think it was quite silly!

They're remaking Rocky Horror? I am intrigued! :D Of course, the Tim Curry movie is hard to top, but I'm very curious, to say the least. Hopefully, they'll choose good actors for it. :) Do you know who will be in it?

I'm bothered, too. Its not just that they're remaking it, MTV is doing it. Its going to be made by poppy little teenagers who don't get it, and aired to kids who don't get it. LAME is all I have to say.

Hollywood needs new blood so they quit messing with the films/characters we love so much because they always end up ruining them in remakes.

As a Rocky fan, (Seen it too many times to count, used to go on weekends for years on end as a teen,) this annoys me. Just leave it ALONE, Hollywood! SHEESH!

I'm totally bugged about these news. You don't touch such a movie. You don't do remakes of "Casblanca", or "Gone with the wind", either. It's just wrong!

And, Rocky Horror is way more than just a movie. I have no idea how many times I've seen the movie, but it's always great when there's another screening at a cinema, and loads of people come dresses, and sing, and scream, and throw rice, and do whatever else.

A remake, especially by MTV, would suck!

Well, I always thought the film was a bit rubbish, even when I was an RH fan. I got into it through the stage show, which was far better. Tim Curry is great in the film but most of the rest is kinda meh.

They should get Anthony Head to play Frank in the remake. He was fantastic in the stage version!

Bothered only because Hollywood can't seem to come up with an original thought these days and just keeps doing remakes that really don't have any point to them. There are exceptions, but they are few and far between. Very far between.

No, stage version is a different media. Stage version is meant to live on forever with differet actors taking it over.

The movie itself has its own thing going on, it was made, people hated it, then people started loving it and dressing up and making it into the classic it is.

I dont think movies should be remade. Especially not by MTV :P
