I had honestly forgotten how much of an awesome episode Phoenix is

It has Rutger Hauer and John Glover being awesome

It has Lex waving a gun around and flying a plane

It has a beautiful clex scene

And Clark breaks up with Lana.

What's not to like?



Look at poor Lex. All sunburned and woobie


Then he waves a gun around and is awesome


Then he goes back to being woobie again. Poor love.


Look at Clark when he first sees Lex back from the dead *draws hearts*


Hugs! Look at how into it Lex is. He loves his Clarkie


And if Clark smile was any bigger his face would crack. He loves his Lexie


Look how sad he looks when Helen pulls a gun on him. He really didn't want to believe she was evil. Poor woobie.

Phoenix was the very first SV episode I ever saw, so it will always be a little bit special for me.

I switched the TV on about two thirds of the way through the episode, and the first things I noticed was that Tom Welling was hot and that Rutger Hauer was in it. But the thing that really hooked me was the Lex/Lionel scene near the end, where Lex makes Lionel agree to him joining LuthorCorp. I had no idea what was going on, but that scene alone had me intrigued about the Luthors. And then there was some cute Clex and the rest is history!

Oh, that final scene with Lex and Lionel is heartbreaking! The look of sheer need for love on Lex's face couple with Lionel's blank expression as they hug just kills me
