Please explain

I'm making icons of Exodus. Now, when I make icons I always have the sound off so I can focus on what's happening visually.

Why is Jonathan being so nice to Lex all of a sudden, to the point where he gives him the compass as a wedding present and is all smiley with him? And what makes him go back to hating Lex again?

I honestly think it was all about Helen keeping Lex too busy for Clark. That there would more separation between Lex and Clark due to Lex being married...that it would make Lex TOTALLY "off limits" to Clark as anything but a friend...and a distant friend at that.

Ahh! Yes, that makes sense. Poor Lex, his wife tries to kill him and as a result Jonathan goes back to hating him.

I agree. It's all about stopping the Clex! Also, he's probably annoyed that Helen didn't succeed!

And didn't Jonathan try to warn Helen about Lex like an episode before? It's been a while since I've seen the second season.

I figure it's about stopping the Clex as well. And maybe has something to do with the fact that they trust Helen and with Lex married to her, he hopes she'll make him a better person or some utter crap like that.

And nothing happens to make him hate Lex again. Except Lex buys his farm. What a terrible person, Lex, buying farms and giving them out like Christmas presents!

I really hate Jonathan. Everytime I think about his treatment of Lex I want to scream.

It's so awful, and doesn't even make any sense half the time. I mean I would understand it more if he was constant in his hating of Lex but he seems to change his mind at random intervals for no reason
