I've just got on the train and I just need to get this out of my system


The queuing system at Kings Cross is totally fucked up and pointless. I arrived at the station at 3:30 and there was a train at 4. Great. The sign said to queue at point B so I did. There were only a handful of people in front of me. I stood patiently as a HUGE queue formed behind be but then suddenly at 3:50 everyone behind me started heading off somewhere else. Apparently they moved the platform the train was leaving from and those of us at the front of the queue couldn't see the notice.

So, by the time I got to the train it was full and I had to wait another hour for the next train.

I am not a happy Hils. I'd be about home by now if I'd caught the other train

Hmmm. Use public transport, they say... *hugs you in sympathy* Of course, driving in London is hellish, and parking is pretty much non existent, so I guess the alternative to the train is quite possibly worse. But I wouldn't get a train to anywhere else unless I absolutely had to.
